Bahama
Palm Shores
One of our most popular planned communities,
Bahama Palm Shores ranges along a spectacular 8 ˝ mile Atlantic Ocean beach. This neighbourhood is an easy 20 mile drive, on paved roads, from
Marsh Harbour and the airport. The community was started about thirty years ago but has seen its major growth in the last ten. It is still relatively undeveloped, consequently the prices remain approachable. The community’s roads are graded down to the beautiful coral rock.
Along the beachfront roads, the power lines are underground. Some sections of
Bahama Palm Shores have land telephone lines while others rely on
private systems. The
neighbours are a friendly mix of working Bahamians and vacation residents. The
Bahama Palm Shores property owners tend to be quite interdependent, picking up milk for each other and, in some cases, even sharing an extension ladder. There are several stretches of
beachfront which are deeded conservation land. For the benefit of all the homeowners, there are several greenways to the beach. The Property Owners’ Association has been recently revived. You can launch your boat from the public ramps in the nearby communities of Cherokee and Casuarina Point.
Bahama Palm Shores is a great choice of a moderately priced area. The best appreciating real estate values are on, or in view of, the Atlantic Ocean
beachfront. Recent home sales have averaged $450,000.
