Golfing in Abaco
For the golf enthusiast, Abaco offers two outstanding golf courses. The 18-
hole Dick Wilson designed Treasure Cay golf course is a long established 
favourite among homeowners. Membership is reasonable and members take an
active role in maintaining the course to their standards. This course is a
diamond in the rough and provides a very naturalistic golfing experience. At
the other end of the spectrum is The Abaco Club at Winding Bay, a members
only golf course with substantial dues and fees but a chance to reciprocate
at other golf courses in the chain's ownership. This spectacular oceanfront
links-style golf course is demanding, challenging and beautifully manicured.
A $100. membership in The Bahamas Federation of Golf provides several
opportunities to play these, and many other golf courses throughout The
Bahamas, and a chance to participate in the annual Caribbean Golf
Classic.
